I’m Matt Abramson, the photographer behind Multiball Studio.
Pinball has been part of my world for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing whenever I could, drawn to the lights, artwork, sounds, and the simple challenge of keeping that silver ball alive just a little longer.
Photography came a little later.
I picked up a camera seriously in high school in the 1990s and quickly discovered that I loved finding perspectives other people might walk right past. That early work earned a Gold Key Award and was displayed at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design in Washington, D.C.
Then life happened.
Photography never completely went away, but my career took me in other directions. Years later, pinball found its way back into my life in a big way. And somewhere along the way, so did the camera.
Multiball Studio brings those two passions together.
Today, I’m interested in more than simply taking beautiful pictures of machines. I want to capture what makes pinball special: the artwork beneath the glass, the engineering hidden inside the cabinet, the movement and light of a game in action, and especially the people who design, build, modify, compete on, collect, and love these machines.
That same passion is part of something bigger.
Multiball Studio is part of The Pinball Streaming Company, an effort built around helping elevate how pinball is seen, experienced, and shared. While The Pinball Streaming Company focuses on bringing the game to an audience through production and storytelling, Multiball Studio focuses the lens on the art, products, people, and details that make the game worth watching in the first place.
For me, it all comes back to seeing things a little differently.
